When Super Storm Sandy hit, Ocean County, NJ saw devastation that had been previously unimaginable. Co-Funders Pastors Robert & Tina Clark left their full-time successful business and jumped into action, working with non-profits and LTRG to provide crisis support to families as they rebuilt their homes and recovered from the devastation. During this time, they witnessed justice, love, and mercy like never before and felt called by God to establish a non-profit that would bind up the broken-hearted.
Pastors Rob and Tina assisted with LTRG and O.C.E.A.N., Inc. in responding to Sandy by acquiring three trailers, two of which provided hot showers and laundry facilities, while one served as a full kitchen food truck. These trailers were essential for serving both those affected by Sandy and the volunteers working to restore the shore.
Pastor Robert managed volunteers in the rebuilding of homes while Pastor Tina handled case management. Fast forward years later, and W.A.L.K. became a reality. Pastors Rob & Tina approached OCEAN Inc. to explore volunteer opportunities and see if they would be interested in partnering with them to utilize the trailers to serve the needs of the homeless population in Ocean, Monmouth, and now Atlantic Counties. This partnership gave birth to our first program with W.A.L.K., Inc., called Project S.O.B.A.L, "Showers of Blessings and Laundry." This was the beginning of the programs we began to provide for the community.
W.A.L.K then developed a program called Pajama Club, which provides the children of our community with pajamas and a book. We believe every child deserves a warm pair of pajamas, and we also emphasize the importance of literacy, which is why we provide them with a book. During our Pajama Club, W.A.L.K. also includes a book reading and a craft for the kids.
Today, W.A.L.K., Inc. continues to grow and serve many populations in need while acting justly, in love, and mercy.

W.A.L.K., Inc. exists to provide practical assistance and crisis support to those in need, demonstrating the justice, love, and mercy of Christ to those who need it most. We also offer various volunteer opportunities for individuals looking to make a difference.
